Sr Kathleen (who many will remember as Sr Claire) has been in touch with some news:
She tells me "Mr. Allen (Len- whom I'm sure you will remember ) Did you hear that he died last August? 20th August 2009 - just a week after celebrarting his Golden Wedding Anniversary. He had been living in Formby since his retirement and was buried from there. I' m sure there will be many PP's who remember him."
There is to be a world-wide celebration ,for the 350th anniversary of the death of St. Vincent de Paul & St. Louise de Marillac which we are all invited to join. One of the big celebrations in Britain will be at a Mass in the Cathedral of Christ the King, Liverpool, on :
SATURDAY 24th APRIL 2010 at 2p.m
All past pupils, staff and families of St. Vincent's School are invited to this event. The Crypt will be open from 11 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. where we can meet and get a cup of tea or coffee. Sr. Rosalie and Sr. Clare are planning to be there, as well as other staff and past pupils who live near Liverpool or can get there. We hope to see YOU there.

We have been contacted by St Vincent's to ask for our input in a project.
They would like to do a display in school showing past pupils' achievements ~ a photograph and brief description (mentioning when they left school) of what they are doing now. We should be celebrating our achievements and also it would help to promote/advertise the school.
If you are willing to get involved, then please contact Diane Waites at school or myself for further details
